//sephora launch 2021

Indigenous-owned makeup company Cheekbone Beauty, founded by Jenn Harper, was in need of a package design refresh with a compelling visual identity that told a deeper story as they prepared to launch in Sephora for the first time.

Accompanying the release of the updated packaging in Sephora was a refreshed brand with new colors, patterns, motion, and art direction inspired by natural and Indigenous motifs. This new identity was showcased across digital and social touchpoints.

Over 100 Indigenous communities in Canada still don't have access to clean drinking water.

Yet this issue continues to be overlooked because, for most Canadians, that water will never touch their lips.

To draw attention to this problem, we collaborated with Cheekbone Beauty to create a lip gloss collection made using contaminated water from three Indigenous communities.
